PHEDCS 2026 Almaty Extended to Three Days

By August 10, 2026 August 19th, 2026 No Comments

Due to the high number of submitted papers and the rapidly growing conference programme, we are pleased to announce that PHEDCS 2026 will be extended to three days.

The conference will therefore begin one day earlier and will take place on:

21–23 October 2026 | Almaty, Kazakhstan

We have already received a significant number of contributions from authors, and the programme is rapidly filling with presentations, keynote lectures and other activities. To provide sufficient space for the scientific programme and international discussion, we have decided to extend the conference by an additional day.

Opening Day – 21 October

The official opening of PHEDCS 2026 will take place in the afternoon of 21 October, followed by a special opening session featuring invited presentations by leading international and regional experts.

The opening programme is currently planned to include:

  • Prof. Thomas Luhmann, Jade University of Applied Sciences, Germany – Keynote Lecture: High-Accuracy Close-Range Photogrammetry: From Requirements to Systems and Solutions. Prof. Luhmann is the principal author of the internationally established textbook Close-Range Photogrammetry and 3D Imaging, which has also been published in a Russian-language edition.
  • Prof. Roman Shults – an invited lecture focusing on new technologies in space geodesy. The final title and abstract will be announced soon.
  • Prof. Viktor Seredovich – an invited presentation focused on the practical application of BIM and its integration in the built environment.
  • An invited speaker from Almaty, bringing a local and regional perspective to the opening session.

The opening session will be moderated by Prof. Karel Pavelka and Mgr. Karel Vach.

The detailed programme, including final presentation titles, abstracts and additional speakers, will be published progressively as the conference approaches.

We are delighted by the strong international interest in PHEDCS 2026 and look forward to welcoming our participants to three days of presentations, discussions, knowledge exchange and international collaboration in Almaty.

Please note the new starting date when making your travel arrangements.

We look forward to seeing you in Almaty from 21 to 23 October 2026!
