Prof. Roman Shults to Deliver a Keynote Lecture at PHEDCS 2026

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Roman Shults will join PHEDCS 2026 in Almaty as a Keynote Speaker.

Prof. Shults is an internationally experienced expert in geodesy, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, terrestrial laser scanning and geospatial technologies. His professional career combines more than 20 years of academic experience with the practical implementation of geospatial engineering projects and the development of modern geospatial education.

His research and professional interests include engineering geodesy, geospatial monitoring, remote sensing, photogrammetry, terrestrial laser scanning, GeoAI and the application of new technologies in geospatial engineering.

Prof. Shults has also been actively involved in international education and capacity-building activities in geodesy, photogrammetry and remote sensing, including cooperation within the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS).

In addition to his keynote lecture, Prof. Shults plays an important role in the preparation of PHEDCS as Head of the Scientific Committee, contributing to the development of the scientific programme and international cooperation of the conference.

At PHEDCS 2026, his keynote lecture will focus on new technologies in space geodesy. The final title and abstract of the lecture will be announced soon.
